Wisdom Tooth Surgery

Most human mouths produce wisdom teeth, which typically emerge between the ages of 17 and 25. Wisdom teeth frequently cause issues since there is not enough space for them to erupt properly.

Wisdom teeth that have erupted normally can be extracted using standard extraction techniques. If the tooth is impacted, surgery will be required.

Wisdom teeth extraction is required for the following reasons:

  1. Infection and gum swelling: Wisdom teeth can grow at an angled position. The gums might become swollen and sore when a tooth is partially erupted.
  2. Tooth decay: Brushing and flossing wisdom teeth is difficult. This leads to tooth decay.
  3. Cyst around the wisdom teeth: Cysts form when fluid accumulates around a wisdom tooth. If left untreated, cysts can get infectious and cause damage to adjacent teeth and bone.
